The source disc’s overall video quality is pretty average, with a native resolution of around 812.1p. The line isn’t great—you can see quite a bit of aliasing and ringing. The flat areas look okay, and there isn’t any major color banding, but the chroma plane isn’t ideal. Our approach involves descaling and reconstruction, anti-aliasing, de-ringing, chroma plane reconstruction, and a few other standard fixes.
