Seiryu returns to Japan to train the next generation of drivers, though Shin, Taiju, and Hanabi find his training to be exceedingly unorthodox. Abuto learns more about the history of the Teoti, and faces a moral dilemma.

NOTES:
I got away with putting "All aboard!" for shuppatsu shinko for years, but I finally had to explain what "shuppatsu shinko" means.

The scene with the chibi Seiryu asking questions about what the departure signal means is a reference to the very popular NHK variety quiz show "Chiko-chan ni Shikarareru!" or, "Chiko-chan's Going to Scold you!" -- in it, a costumed chibi character with a CGI face asks adults simple but actually kind of obscure and difficult questions about a variety of topics. Participants who give blatantly wrong or flippant answers incur the wrath of Chiko-chan, as she fumes and shoots fire out her eyes with a shout of, "DON'T SLEEP THROUGH LIFE!"

"Yuggothpeia" is almost certainly a reference to H.P. Lovecraft's Yuggoth, a fictional planet said to be at the edge of our solar system which was the home to a race of sentient and highly advanced extraterrestrial fungoids. Additionally, ancient aliens and elder gods of destruction were regular themes in Lovecraft's work.
