There's not really time or space to fully explain this in the subs, but the "Elderly Man Who Stepped Over the Crested Ibis" is a reference to the anime movie "The Girl Who Lept Through Time" (this involves a pun on "toki" which could refer to the "crested ibis" bird or to "time"). And "Dirty Hideo" is probably a reference to the American movie "Dirty Harry".
