The image quality of the source is good with a native resolution of 720p, which was upscaled by a soft algorithm, resulting in slight aliasing and ringing of the lines. And some flat areas feature slight banding with block-shaped noise caused by bad encoding. For the lines, we applied routine de-ringing after descaling and reconstruction of the image. For the flat areas, we applied conventional de-banding and then weakened the unsightly noise while replacing it with dynamic noise of the same intensity to improve watching experience.
