Officially Translated Light Novels v23.01v23.0:
https://nyaa.si/view/1990078Sorry for the long delay, everyone! I've been very busy with work, and I sort of forgot to update this collection. It's finally complete now. As always, I had to pick the slack for some of the less popular series and purchase them myself.
PDFsIn the v23.0 release, we had a poll to decide whether or not to keep the PDF files in the torrents. The majority agreed that they were not needed, and anyone who
really needs a PDF version can convert it themselves. There are many tools online for this. The publishers don't provide PDF versions, so they're all manually converted anyway.
The FutureI have a few helping hands now, so releases should be more consistent going forward. With the next full release, we've decided to make a few changes and overhaul most of everything, specifically to the naming conventions. I've spent the past week writing a suite of tools to better standardize the collection, archiving, and naming process for each series and its individual volumes. As a result, the current release should be much cleaner. Moving forward, the next release will have those tools applied to every file in the entire collection, so expect it to be very different and likely incompatible with your older copies. I will make the tools open-source so that everyone can contribute their ideas, and make the standard better. The changes currently planned are:
→
Full series name; no truncationsAt the moment, light novels with very long names are often truncated. For example,
Isekai Tensei - Recruited To Another World becomes
Isekai Tensei. This is practical for some cases (e.g.
Backstabbed in a Backwater Dungeon), but not very helpful in cases like
Isekai Tensei -- which means "Otherworld Reincarnation", which does very little to distinguish it from literally every other isekai.
→
Unique ID for each seriesWe can generate a CRC32 hash for every series name, and put that in the folder name. This helps us keep better track of the collection internally. We're thinking of doing this by normalizing a series name by lowercasing and stripping it of spaces and punctuations, e.g.
Sword Art Online ->
swordartonline ->
CRC32('swordartonline') ->
360cc1bf ->
Sword Art Online [360cc1bf] (folder name). I'm not sure if we should put this in the folder name, or individual file names. Taking suggestions.
Another thing that needs to be discussed: some series have subtitles for each volume. There's no convention around this case, so some series end up logging the subtitle in the filename, and others don't. We should also decide what to do about this.
