A raw and necessary account, it gives voice to those who resist despite police brutality, social hostility, and institutional indifference.

Accompanying these stories is a special guest: Tom Waits, who returns to the stage after years away. The celebrated artist performs some poems from "Seeds on Hard Ground," offering a poetic and poignant counterpoint to an America that would rather not look on.
