Raté. All Right Now (gros tube en simple) + Fire And Water (un album plus que réussi) + concerts sold out + Wight 70, Free se verrait bien finir sa grande année 70 en rebelote. Studio en septembre flop en décembre (adage non confirmé, sauf pour Free). À trop vouloir et tout de suite, le groupe se répète mais en moins bien. Le résultat ? Un disque qu' on entend plus qu' on ne l' écoute (le syndrome de l' oreille distraite). De dissensions pour les uns en problème de drogue pour l' autre, séparation en mai 71.
