Biographie :
Le docteur Michael Salla est un spécialiste reconnu en politique internationale, en résolution de conflits et en politique étrangère américaine. Il a été titulaire de nominations professorales à l’École du service international et au Centre pour la paix mondiale de l’Université américaine, à Washington, D.C. (1996-2004), au département de science politique de l’Université nationale australienne, à Canberra (1994-1996), et à l’École Elliott des Affaires internationales de l’université George Washington, à Washington, D.C. (2002). Il possède un doctorat en gouvernance de l’université du Queensland, en Australie. Au cours de sa carrière universitaire, il fut l’auteur de quatre livres consacrés à la politique internationale. Il a mené des recherches et des travaux sur le terrain dans des conflits ethniques impliquant le Timor oriental, le Kosovo, la Macédoine et le Sri Lanka. Il a reçu d’importantes subventions financières de l’Institut des États-Unis pour la paix et de la fondation Ford, pour des initiatives de rétablissement de la paix impliquant divers intervenants du conflit du Timor oriental.
