Hilltop Hoods est un groupe de hip-hop australien qui s'est formé en 1996 à Blackwood, Adélaïde, Australie du Sud.

Ils sont considérés comme les pionniers du style "larrikin-like" du hip hop australien.

Le groupe a été fondé par Suffa (Matthew David Lambert) et Pressure (Daniel Howe Smith), qui ont été rejoints par DJ Debris (Barry John M. Francis)
après le départ d'un autre fondateur, DJ Next (Ben John Hare), en 1999.

The Calling est le troisième album studio du groupe, sorti le 22 septembre 2003 chez Obese Records.
Le succès de l'album a été important pour la scène hip-hop australienne,
car il a démontré la reconnaissance populaire d'un genre auparavant soutenu par une base de fans relativement petite et "underground".

Trois singles sont sortis et deux ont été classés dans le classement Triple J Hottest 100 de 2003 :
"The Nosebleed Section" a été voté à la neuvième place, tandis que "Dumb Enough" a été voté à la 44e place.
