John Anthony Genzale Jr, né le 15 juillet 1952 à New York et mort le 23 avril 1991 à La Nouvelle-Orléans, plus connu sous le nom de Johnny Thunders, est un guitariste et chanteur de rock américain. Il a été le guitariste soliste du groupe The New York Dolls de 1972 à 1975. Il a ensuite fondé le groupe The Heartbreakers avant de s'engager dans une carrière solo.
