Sectors est une collection de trois coffrets de cinq albums chacun retraçant en ordre chronologique la carrière de l'iconique trio de rock progressif canadien sur l'étiquette Mercury, soit de 1974 à 1988. Tous les albums ont été remixés et remasterisés en version audiophile en 2011 sous la supervision des trois musiciens virtuoses. Chaque coffret comprend quatre albums studio et un album live. Contrairement à l'édition digitale, l'édition sur support physique inclut aussi pour chaque coffret un DVD offrant un remixage en Dolby 5.1 d'un des albums studio. En outre, pour tous les coffrets, les pistes sont regroupées en fonction des albums.

Sector Three couvre les années 1982 à 1988, les dernières du groupe chez Mercury. Durant cette période, le groupe a poursuivi sur sa lancée avec beaucoup d'autres compositions influencées par la science-fiction et un son encore plus basé qu'auparavant sur l'emploi de synthétiseurs comme c'était la mode durant les années 80. C'est d'ailleurs cette ère que récapitule le double album live A Show Of Hands dont les performances retenues, toutes enregistrées en 1988 aux États-Unis et en Angleterre, datent presque toutes d'après 1981. Livret de 68 pages inclus.
