and yes, I imagine the name of this movie is a play on the old Pinocchio story

a wheel-chair bound elementary school student locks himself away after his mother dies in the car accident that left him paralyzed
his father designs a remote-control robot as a way for him to go to school and interact with the outside world

this is a very nicely done fun "feel good" type of movie that just about anyone should be able to enjoy
