HEVC encode of archive.org R1 DVDs (USA), soft denoised, deinterlaced (30i -> 24p), debanded and all openings and endings with English credits were replaced with the creditless versions.
My English is bad so if I sound weird, that’s why.

First time doing something of this size..

Why DVDs and SD if there is already a 1080p Blu-ray and multiples other releases on this site? the BDs raw video is just a bad DVD upscale (probably the Japanese ones), not only it lost a lot of detailed, looks oil up and have a lot of ringing / haloing but it also have some distorted colors. I originally I tried to downscale and applying avisynth filters on the BD raw but the results weren’t a lot better. The conversion from interlaced to progressive gave some 3D scenes a small stutter I don’t think is all that egregious tho.

Why replace the OP and endings? The original ones with English credits were really ugly with a lot of issues. Some endings weren’t replaced but most of them were text on a black screen. The second and third ending were a mess in some places thanks to the low bitrate of the source, so they were heavily edited.

SSA subs were resynced, I modified some styles, added signs on some case and all the insert songs that were missing. Some episodes can have poor sync timing, I didn’t encounter any of them on my last check, but it can happen, report if you see any mayor issues.

Overall, I think it looks nice, at least nicer than the Blu-rays. Maybe some R2 DVD has better quality, but I don’t how to get those.
