Synopsis:

In September 1939, following the dual invasion of Poland, the country is violently divided between the advancing Nazi Germany and Soviet Red Army forces. Anna (Maja Ostaszewska), the fierce and devoted wife of a Polish cavalry captain, Andrzej, refuses to flee KrakÓw, desperately waiting for her husband's return.
