Доп. информация: As the gravelly voiced frontman for Deep Purple, Ian Gillan put his unmistakable stamp on a number of classic tunes, from 'Smoke on the Water' to 'Woman from Tokyo'. After Deep Purple disbanded, Gillan went on to a successful solo career, and this title celebrates his subsequent musical legacy.

Gillan were a hugely successful hard rock band in the early eighties fronted by legendary Deep Purple vocalist Ian Gillan. Their career ran from 1979 to 1982 during which time they released 5 albums all of which charted Top 20 in the UK and had a string of successful singles. This concert was filmed as part of BBC's "Rock Goes To College" series at Oxford Polytechnic on February 2, 1981, following their "Glory Road" album (which went to No.3) and just before the release of "Future Shock" (which went to No.2). Bonus Features include four performances from BBC's Top Of The Pops from 1980 & 81, one from German TV's Rock Pop in 1981 and the original promo video for "Sleeping On The Job".
