«Солярис» — телеспектакль в 2-х сериях.

Малоизвестный ныне киноматериал, поскольку его полностью заслонил вышедший на несколько лет позже знаменитый фильм Андрея Тарковского (но как знать, не натолкнул ли Тарковского именно этот спектакль на мысль о своем фильме?). Однако, если не сравнивать его со своим знаменитым последователем, то данный телеспектакль - вполне добротно и профессионально сделанная работа с хорошей игрой актеров. Режиссер достаточно близок к авторскому тексту знаменитого романа Лема.

Телеспектакль поставлен по самому значительному роману Алексея Феофилактовича Писемского.

Действие происходит в середине 40-х гг. XIX в. в уездном городе N-ске. Спектакль о всесильной власти денег и нравах чиновничьего мира, который губит все доброе, честное и гуманное.
Одну из главных ролей играет один из самых гениальных актеров прошлого века — Николай Гриценко. Его называли актером без амплуа. Николай Олимпиевич с одинаковой легкостью мог играть и в классике, и в современном водевиле. «Идиот», «Маленькие трагедии», «Живой труп» — в воплощении своих театральных героев он был безудержным, жадным актером и не упускал из вида ни одной детали.
