Slayer (в пер. с англ. Убийца) — известная американская группа, играющая в стиле трэш-метал. Группа была основана в 1981 году гитаристами Джеффом Ханнеманом (англ. Jeff Hanneman) и Керри Кингом (англ. Kerry King). Slayer возглавила музыкальное движение американского трэш-метала после выпуска своего альбома Reign in Blood (1986), который считается лучшим достижением группы и одним из лучших в трэш-метале в целом, среди прочего он признан «классикой трэш-метала» журналом Classic Rock и «самым тяжёлым альбомом всех времён» журналом «Kerrang!». Вместе с группами Metallica, Megadeth и Anthrax Slayer составляет «большую четвёрку трэш-метала».
