О группе: Независимые арт-рокеры из Миннесоты, которые любят природу и экспериментировать с электроникой и классическими инструментами. Альбом Aurora Borealis в своё время выигрывал в чартах у Radiohead а Pitchfork называли Advice of the Happy Hippopotamus "работой безумного гения", но Cloud Cult не стали подписывать контрактов со корпорациями, основали свой лэйбл и теперь садят дерево за каждую сотню проданных альбомов. Их студия расположена на ферме основателя и солиста группы, Крейга Миновы, и работает за счёт ветряков и солнечной энергии. Минова пишет гениальные песни - потому что у не было другого способа справиться с утратой двухлетнего сына. Большинство ранних песен - очень грустные; новые - жизнеутверждающие, хотя грусть, конечно, никуда не делась.

Полная* коллекция лучшей группы на планете в лучшем качестве, которое можно найти в сети. Все альбомы с обложками (500*500), некоторые - со сканами буклетов; большинство песен - с вшитыми текстами.

Если вы слышите про эту группу первый раз - качайте последний альбом, но уделите ему один час и послушайте от начала и до конца. Альбом концептуальный, и если не отвлекаться при прослушивании, то на последней песне наступает катарсис.

Если вы уже слышали про эту группу, то качайте альбомы за 2009 год - там есть много треков, которые раньше не публиковались.

* Нет только дебютного The Shade Project - существование которого группа отрицает, а судя по статистике Last.fm - есть он только у одного человека. Вероятно, самого автора.
