Доп. информация: Дэмиен Райс (Damien Rice) - так называемый singer/songwriter из графства Килдэр, Ирландия. Он начинал в группе Juniper. У них никогда не было времени для записи полноценного альбома, но возможно вы помните их хит "Weatherman".

В 1999 Дэмиен переезжает в Тоскану, затем путешествует по Европе в качестве уличного музыканта. В Дублин он возвращается полным идей. Находит в своей музыке какую-то свежесть и решается записать некоторые песни. Занимая деньги, он делает демо-запись и отсылает ее знаменитому продюсеру и композитору David Arnold (известному по работам с Bjork и James Bond). Арнольду понравились его записи, он его финансирует и даже предоставляет Дэмиену деньги для его собственной небольшой студии.

Сейчас Дэмиен Райс поет с Лизой Ханниген (Lisa Hannigan) и в начале 2002-го в Ирландии выпускает свой сольный альбом "O". В июле 2002-го альбом выходит в Великобритании и получает широкую известность и доброжелательные отзывы критиков. В июне 2003-го "О" выходит в США и Европе, Дэмиен появляется на "The Letterman Show", альбом пользуется большой популярностью, ему посвящаются большие одобрительные статьи в Newsweek и The Boston Globe.
Также этот альбом в 2003-м году получил премию Shortlist Music Prize как самый инновационный релиз года. На сегодняшний день его тираж составляет порядка двух миллионов экземпляров. Неудивительно, что его последователь ожидается публикой с большим нетерпением.
