Mike, Carson and Andrew from Tombs are good friends of mine and there music is a heavy blast of layered guitars and brutal rhythms with an aural integrity that gives them depth beyond the current sea of unoriginal aggressive music. I have posted below the original art work and the digitally composed Front and Back cover, this project was alot of fun for me and it gave me a lot of inspiration for new directions within my painting.The 12 panels I painted for the record layout range in size from 10×10 inches to 22×22 inches, they are all ink, water colour and shellac on a heavy weight 100%cotton paper. Tombs have released this record on Relapse and have just been invited to tour with Pelican and Wolves in the Throne Room this coming spring.
