Ken Watson is a multi-instrument preformer and composer. His his music is inspired by such notables as Happy the Man, Zappa, Gentle Giant, and is noted for it's complexity, depth and melody.

After hearing Watsons' archival release "Assembly", I was so impressed that I wanted to find out what else he had done since(the songs were actually recorded in the mid - eighties, yet more recently released in 1993 by Kinesis), Sadly he had all but given up his ambitions as a composer/musician for the family life. Ah, but the times and technology has offered even the family man an opportunity to regenerate the creative juices with digital recording devices, hence Mr. Watsons' return to form on this self-produced gem, he definitely enjoys complexity and time signature changes, and keeps the tone levels on the mellow side, much like Happy the Man, or However does.

He is equally adept on guitars as well as keyboards and programming. But his greatest attribute is clearly his sense for composition, few people can bring that to the table and make music this elaborate work, my only knock is the drumming(programmed), he was able to enlist a drummer for the Assembly cd, and what an effect real drums lent to his music, granted these are not terrible, but the feel that a real drummer adds is immmeasurable to music this good, this point aside, the cd really scores highly and is well worth the effort to find.
