Mistress Of The Dead это фьюнерал-дум проект из Чехии, создан в 2004 году. Движущей силой и основателем проекта является чешский музыкант Влад Веелс (Vlad Cristea Vales), который, собственно, и является единственным его членом.
Сам музыкант очень плодовит в плане творчества. Дискография представляет из себя 11 демо-записей, компиляцию, 2 сплита и 5 альбомов, основная часть которых вышла на лэйбле Epidemie Records.

Музыка Mistress Of The Dead представляет собой качественный и очень крепкий материал: правильная атмосфера, утробный вокал, медленные заупокойные риффы. В лирике этого проекта можно найти разнообразные посвящения умершим родственникам, даже богу, но тексты проговариваются таким гроулингом, что никто не усомнится в брутальности представленной музыки.

Подобная музыка оказывает на слушателя какое-то эмоциональное подсознательное влияние. Нечто романтичное, загадочное и в то же время мрачное посещает и не покидает в течение всего прослушивания. Мелодии, присутствующие в музыкальном материале, облечены в соответствующую форму, поэтому не «навязают в зубах», но также и не дают музыке превратиться в одну большую нудную песню.
