Компания FXpansion, в первую очередь известная за счёт своих барабанных семплеров BFD и GURU, представила свой первый виртуальный синтезатор — DCAM Synth Squad (Discrete Component Analogue Modelling).

Благодаря усилиям разработчиков, тщательно проанализировавших достоинства самых популярных цифро-аналоговых и виртуальных синтезаторов всех времён, с помощью DCAM Synth Squad можно «воссоздать» звучание таких синтезаторов, как Moog Prodigy, Korg MS20, Sequential Circuits Pro One, Oberheim OB1, Arp Omni, Roland Juno 106 и многих других.

Как сообщается в пресс-релизе, основопологающими модулями для создания звука являются: Strobe (Строб), Amber (Амбер) и Cypher (Сайфер). Микшером для трёх сигналов служит конечный элемент в Synth Squad — Фьюзер (Fusor).

Строб служит для создания «рыхлёных» лидов, насыщённых пэдов и баса. Многорежимные фильтры модуля во многом заимствованы у Roland SH101. Имеется также дополнительный осцилятор.

Амбер сочетает в себе лучшие качества синтезаторов струнных инструментов, создаваемых ещё с 70-ых годов. Имеется четыре полосовых фильтра.

Сайфер — уникальный FM-синтезатор с тремя осциляторами.
