[spoiler="Biography"]
Formed in 2005, Fall Of Envy is a six-piece, melodic, Hard rock hard-rock band based out of Orlando, Florida. Fall Of Envy consists of Michael Baker (lead singer), Tommy Harrington (lead guitar), Chris Gaarlandt (rhythm guitar), Rick Dotchin (bass), Michael Powell (keys), and Tom O'Keef (percussion). Passionate and driven, Fall Of Envy has already seen their share of ups and downs, including the loss of their close friend and founding member, Greg Harrington. However, through it all, Fall Of Envy has proven their dedication, desire, and staying power.
Fall Of Envy has opened for several national acts including Sevendust, 30 Seconds To Mars, Chevelle, Buckcherry, The Used, Nonpoint, and Papa Roach. In 2008, Fall Of Envy released their first, full-length album, Poetic Rage, recorded and produced by Justin Thomas, producer of Dark New Day, Alter Bridge's Acoustic Tracks, Faktion, and Stereoside. Since then, Fall Of Envy's music has appeared on numerous radio stations. "Fix Myself" was featured in a cross promotion with the CW network (CW-18) for over 5 months which included a video, recorded in the CW studios, that was incorporated into the 30 and 60 second promotional clips for shows such as 90210, Supernatural, and The OC. In 2009, the XFC (Xtreme Fighting Championship) named Fall Of Envy the organization’s official band; "For You" was chosen as the theme song for the XFC's nationally televised MMA fight series, which premiered in April 2009. Fall Of Envy has also licensed tracks to Channel One News, a network reaching over 6 million teens in middle schools and high schools across the country.
Fall Of Envy has headlined at such major venues as Hard Rock Live and House of Blues to name a few. Fall Of Envy has also performed at the Florida Music Festival, 101.1 WJRR's Earthday Birthday, and 103.1 The Buzz's Buzz Bake Sale, and sang the National Anthem live at the Xtreme Fighting Championships in Knoxville, Tennessee, which was nationally broadcast live on HD Net. The band has released two music videos for “Solace” and "Face To My Fist" and are currently working on material for a follow-up album to “Poetic Rage”.
The dictionary defines envy as “a feeling of covetousness with regard to another's advantages, success, and possessions.” The band’s name, Fall Of Envy, derives from a desire to achieve their dreams, without having to envy the success of others, and Fall Of Envy is one of those bands who doesn’t need to envy others
