From Ashes Rise это мелодик d-beat/crust-punk группа с мрачным, тяжелым, местами трэшовым звучанием подобно таким группам как Tragedy, His Hero Is Gone или Deathreat. Образовались они в городе Нешвилль, штат Теннесси в 1997, а затем перебрались в Портленд, штат Орегон. Их последний альбом был выпущен на лейбле Jade Tree, что достаточно негативно сказалось на репутации группы. В конце 2005 года, после своего тура с легендарной английской группой Subhumans группа распалась.
