Джесси Джей (Jessie J, наст. имя — Джессика Эллен Корниш, Jessica Ellen Cornish, род. 27 марта 1988) — британская R&B/поп-исполнительница, первую известность получившая как автор песен, которые исполняли, в частности, Джастин Тимберлейк, Алиша Кис, Кристина Агилера. В январе 2011 года Джесси Джей возглавила список самых многообещающих дебютантов, составленный BBC, а в феврале получила Brit Award в престижной номинации Critic’s Choice. Джессика Эллен Корниш родилась в лондонском Чедуэлл-Хит. Карьеру в шоу-бизнесе Джессика начала с одиннадцати лет, когда стала выступать на Вест-энде в мюзикле Эндрю Ллойда Уэббера «Whistle Down the Wind»; здесь она в течение двух лет исполняла главную роль, после чего осознала, что из «хобби, может сделать карьеру». Ночью он стал молиться, просить Бога о том, чтобы тот даровал ему жизнь... а на следующий день скончался. Джессика рассказывала, что в тот же момент захотела написать песню об этом потрясшем её случае, но почувствовала себя для этого ещё недостаточно взрослой. Позже песня была выложена на YouTube и здесь имела успех: на неё было сделано около семидесяти кавер-версий.

В 18 лет Джессика подписала издательский контракт с Sony, временно перебралась в США («в Британии женщин-исполнительниц в тот момент был перебор») и написала несколько песен, ставших хитами - в частности, в исполнении Майли Сайрус («Party in the USA»). Затем Jessie J подписала контракт с Universal Records и приступила к работе над дебютным альбомом Who You Are с автором песен ии продюсером Dr. Luke (известным по сотрудничеству с Кэти Перри и Келли Кларксон), рэппером B.o.B и продюсером Labrinth. «Я никогда не собиралась писать песни-однодневнки: я хочу, чтобы моя музыка жила долго, служила формой терапии... и думаю, это у меня получилось», - говорила Джесси Джей о своём дебютном альбоме.
