Reviews
...К середине первой песни начинает реально сносить крышу. Play it Loud!
Pinnacle were perhaps the most violent hard rock band of the '70s, their performances in Liverpool were notorious, and the media shunned them for their political incorrectness. Fittingly they ended with a psychotic punk incarnation in 1974 before disbanding. The blood fenzied proto-cybermetal herein should be played loud. For fans of Black Sabbath, Atomic Rooster etc.
One of my personal favorite Kissing Spell titles brings us the rare 1974 release from Pinnacle. These guys where certainly onto a fairly early metal sound somewhat similar to early Judas Priest and Deep Purple, although I'm pretty sure this bands real biggest influence was the mighty Hawkwind. Regardless it's a rockin' affair with some great tunes, and contains four bonus tracks with awful sound.
A rare privately-pressed album by a Liverpool heavy rock band. The spelling of the title is theirs. Musically, this is a sonic assault with pounding drums and bass and frenzied keyboards. Powerful stuff indeed. A sort of prototype heavy metal album that was originally only available as a demo. Clearly of interest to heavy rock/metal fans
This British hard rock group recorded and self-released their debut LP in 1974, an album that remained a hot collector's item amongst British underground enthusiasts . Archivists of obscure psychedelia and underground music Little Wing have reissued this here for the first time, destined for equal obscurity and limited. Don't let the scarceness of the album lead you to believe there is any secret tangent you have not heard before. Thin Lizzy, Groundhogs, and countless U.K. rockers explored this territory in the '70s and leave Pinnacle in the dusty closet of history as a footnote for the hardcore collector. ~ Skip Jansen, All Music Guide
