Supermax — проект авcтрийского композитора Курта Хаунштейна (Kurt Hauenstein), основанный в 1976 году. Supermax собрал в себе соул, фанк, джаз, рэгги, африканские ритмы и интенсивное пульсирующее звучание, что сразу же стало его отличительной особенностью.

За первым альбомом, «Don’t Stop The Music» (1976), последовали ещё почти два десятка.
