Blade впервые появился на записи, работая в качестве сессионного музыканта вместе с Kenny Garrett и Joshua Redman и затем продолжил работать с другими музыкантами.
В качестве лидера он записал 3 альбома под названием Brian Blade & the Fellowship Band.
Членами команды являются Jon Cowherd, пианист/композитор, Chris thomas, басист, Myron walden, альт, басовый кларнет, Melvin Butler, тенор и сопрано саксафон и Kurt Rosenwinkel, гитара.
