Genesis, by the Greek fusion phenomenon Confusion, is the group's second CD, and again features Achilleas Diamantis on guitar, Panagiotis Haramis on bass and Takis Intas on drums. The trio's music is a combination of different sounds, both traditional and modern, incorporating alternative styles and elements into a single theme within their music. Very brief vocals infuse "Where R U?", while spoken word missives open and close the CD ("Intro" and "Ending"), but by and large this is an all instrumental album. Genesis furthers the creative spontaneity Confusion presented on their debut, as the group includes surprising sonic elements, and a number of twists and turns in every piece. These guys are tight!

ProGGnosis' MJ Brady writes about Confusion's latest CD, Enter Alone, "Guitarist Achilleas Diamantis is the band's leader, his guitar tones are every bit as diverse as the band's music is. Fans of smooth legato fusion guitar should be taking notice of this CD, as Diamantis can deliver the Holdsworth vibe at the flick of the wrist. But unlike some of the other AH cloning experiments, Diamantis prevails to be equally influenced by other styles of guitar and musical idioms. The CD plays like a musical sampler for the history of fusion: "Quarter Past Three" starts slow, but gains momentum, giving way to what sounds like a vintage Brand X cut, with a Holdsworth feel to the soloing parts. Some fluid and melodic bass work by Panagiotis Haramis, who shines on the whole CD here. "Spanish Way" is perhaps my favorite track on the CD, with an obvious hint of Spanish flamenco inspiration, the song goes the way of a DiMeola instrumental from his older era. "Tripfall" finds the band in a hardrock/fusion territory, while "Voodoo" is a choppy, technically challenging song, with odd time signatures, and a heavy tone. This CD offers a few different takes on jazz and fusion, all the while featuring Diamantis' wide range of style mastery on the guitar."
