Luke Stone's "Elaborate Mess" has a hard to define funky rock, jazz edge feel to it. It combines heavy grooves and strong solos with a unique intertwining melodic and rhythmic texture underneath. With vocals on a few tracks, this is a mostly instrumental album influenced primarily by a Hammond B3 a friend loaned him that had been accidentally wired for ridiculous overdrive output. This Disc features Eric Levy "Garage Mahal", Brian Baggett "Dojo", and professor Todd Wilkenson "Boko Maru".
