Mux Mool has always been an outsider. He grew up, moving from one small Minnesotan town to another, where the only distractions from the banality of farm life were video games, drugs, and creative expression. His earliest exposure to music was from his mother's guitar playing, and his father's reggae, but his initial creative outlet was drawing.

Young Mux Mool often got in trouble at school, for failing to pay attention during class. Instead, he drew: superheroes, dragons and robots, anything to escape from the mundane environment. Before long, he acknowledged his interest and entered Arts High School. It was here that he was able to focus his attention on drawing, and a burgeoning fascination with music production.

Mux Mool's interest in music production quickly exploded into passion. Tired of small town life, he moved to Minneapolis and purchased a computer and a sampler. Having never received any formal music training, he opted to figure out the art's intricacies himself. He was quick to learn, and steadily banged out bedroom hits until his discovery by Jakub Alexander of Moodgadget in March of 2006. His song "Lost and Found" ended up on the label's acclaimed "Rorschach Suite" compilation, and went on to become one of iTunes best electronic songs of 2006.

A battle has since ensued within him; between making music, and staying sober. A few trips to rehab in 2007, and a couple of near death experiences served as harrowing setbacks. Sober again in 2008, Mux Mool is re-focused and ready to unleash the Drum EP onto the world.
