Torrent Description
One continuous fall through Wonderland. No cuts, no edits, no camera moves —
a single unbroken zoom lasting the entire song, where every world you pass
through is nested inside a detail of the one before it.

Nothing here was filmed, drawn, or generated by an image model. Every pixel
of the foreground is procedural mathematics, evaluated fresh for each of the
9,038 frames. The chessboard, the toadstools, the playing cards, the White
Rabbit, the Mad Hatter's topper, Alice herself — all of it is equations.

WHY THIS SONG

"White Rabbit" is a bolero. One unbroken two-and-a-half-minute crescendo, no
chorus, no reset — it only ever builds. That's a strange shape for a pop
song and a perfect one for an infinite zoom, because a zoom that never cuts
and only accelerates has exactly the same shape as the music.

So the fall is driven by the track itself. The song's rising energy was
analysed and used to steer the zoom speed: the descent is slow and patient
through Grace Slick's opening verses, then accelerates hard from about 1:20
as the arrangement opens up, until worlds are flying past every few seconds
by the time she arrives at "feed your head."

BEHIND THE FRACTALS

The backdrop is real MilkDrop — the legendary Winamp visualiser — running
live through Butterchurn, reacting to the same audio in real time, cycling
through 77 presets across the song. It's composited behind the Wonderland
layers, showing through the portals, the vignette and the dark ground
between objects, so the two react to the same music from different depths.

Sixteen falls through eleven worlds — the fall passes through all eleven,
then begins again and races through five more as the song peaks. Watch the
very centre of the frame: whatever is a speck at the vanishing point is
where you'll be in about ten seconds.

HOW IT WAS MADE

The worlds are laid out along log-radius, each one nested at one-sixth the
scale of the last. Every world carries a hole at its centre — a portal —
through which the next world is visible. As the camera falls, each world
magnifies until its own portal grows large enough to swallow the frame, at
which point it vanishes on its own. Four such layers are on screen at any
moment. That's why there's never a visible seam or a crossfade: the join
between two worlds is permanently hidden inside the portal.

Rendered entirely on a desktop PC — an eight-core Ryzen and an Intel Arc
A380 — with the video encoded in AV1 on the GPU.
