Многие критики сравнивают эту группу с такими монстрами как Genesis, Marillion, IQ. Несомненно, влияние Genesis есть, но музыка Castanarc значительно проще. Группа разработала свой собственный стиль, который впоследствии с успехом развивали Pendragon. Нужно заметить, что группа появилась в застойныe для арт-рока годы, то есть в начале 80-х. И это приятная неожиданность, что и тогда были и творили замечательные группы, о которых мы узнали только в наше время (Castanarc, Mugen, Pageant, Citizen Cain, Flame Dream, Pendragon). Ближайшим ориентиром можно считать некоторые из лучших дисков Pendragon & Saga...
