Very solid album of most covers, but still very well done for the most part. The opening cover of the Monkees "Stepping Stone" proves to be very good and better than the original. The "Hey Joe" cover is probably the weakest of the bunch. Two originals "Sunny Day" from their first single and the noise-laden rocker "Cast Thy Burden Upon the Stone" are very solid. Other great covers include "Under My Thumb" and "Come in the Morning." The seven minute avant-garde jam at the end is a bit tedious but interesting nonetheless. These guys could play well, the lead vocals are very good, and they played with a garage attitude that really enhanced their material.
