Carol Kidd MBE is a Scottish Jazz Singer with fans that have included Tony Bennett, Frank Sinatra, Ronnie Scott OBE, & Dame Cleo Laine. Carol Kidd has total command of the language in the lyrics. She makes the classic songs here fresh for the audience. Her voice is soft-spoken, delicate, & precise. Her debut is marvelous & has been followed by many other compact discs since it’s release in 1984. She was awarded the MBE in 1998 for her services to jazz & it’s well-honored. Her music may take you back to another time & era, but she is now, & can sing classics in a fresh new sound & voice. If you love jazz music, Carol Kidd is truly a wonderful jazz vocalist & singer who sings a song with passion, love, & enthusiasm. On this debut compact disc, there are only 13 songs but each 1 is different from the other. I know when I listen to Carol Kidd, I’m listening to 1st class jazz music with a vocalist who expresses a calm, relaxing sound. I could listen to her sing anything.
