SKARHEAD's last album, "Drugs, Music & Sex", was released on November 17, 2009 in the U.S. and November 23, 2009 in Europe via I Scream Records. The CD was recorded and mixed by Dean Baltulonis (SICK OF IT ALL, MADBALL, AGNOSTIC FRONT) and produced by Lord Ezec. The album features guest appearances by some of the hardcore elite, including Freddy Cricien (MADBALL), CIV, Jorge Rosado (MERAUDER), Jamey Jasta (HATEBREED), Armand Majidi and Craig Setari (SICK OF IT ALL), Vinnie Stigma (AGNOSTIC FRONT) and more.
Founded in 1995 by Lord Ezec, SKARHEAD released the EP "Drugs, Money, Sex" that same year. In 1999 the follow-up album, "Kings At Crime", took the worldwide hardcore scene by storm and instantaneously became one of the all-time classic hardcore records.

The Skarhead album “Dreams Don’t Die” is a covers album that was put out a week or so ago by New York Hardcore legends Skarheaad and on that album they pay tribute to the past and take on many of the bands that helped to shape the hardcore scene as we know it today. On “Dreams Don’t Die” you will hear songs from Youth Of Today, Bad Brains, Sheer Terror, Leeway, S.O.D., Killing Time, Cro-Mags, Agnostic Front, Warzone, Sick Of It All and more. The collection of material spans from the lesser known bands to the biggest ones out there and over all Skarhead do all their heroes and friends the justice they deserve.
As on any Skarhead album there are lots of special appearances from many superstars within the hardcore world and “Dreams Don’t Die” is no exception, on the album we hear the likes of Paul Bearer (Sheer Terror), Scott Vogel (Terror), Mad Joe (Wisdom In Chains), Eddie Sutton (Leeway), Jimmy Williams (Maximum Penalty), Adlib and many more. This particular approach made the album really feel like an old school hardcore album, it almost brought a live feel to the album and transported you back to the days of Sunday Matinées at CBGB’s where in the crowd some of those mentioned characters could be seen roaming the floor or stage. Skarhead made this project feel so authentic and that is a big part of the reason they were able to pull it off so well and cover these songs in a way that kept them true, but also tastefully updated at the same time.

Highlights on “Dreams Don’t Die” for us were “United Forces” (S.O.D.), “Break Down The Walls” (Youth Of Today), “The Hard Way” (Outburst) and “As One” (Warzone). It was great to hear so many of these old songs reinvigorated and brought back to life once again. Skarhead brought better production and an element of heaviness to the table that mixed perfectly with the original vibe and feeling that all these tracks had when they were originally recorded. Ezac’s vocals as always are passionate and aggressive and exactly what all these songs need when someone wants to reinterpret them under their own banner. All in all “Dreams Don’t Die” is a great tribute to past bands and a really good addition to any hardcore music collection

Skarhead aka «Kings From Queens» образовались из остатков группы Crown Of Thornz в 1995-м, а в 1997-м году выпустили свою первую EP «Drugs, Money and Sex». Гастролировали на протяжении всего 1998-го года вместе с Hatebreed, Madball, Blood For Blood и Earth Crisis. Затем банда выпустила полноформатный альбом «Kings at Crime» на Victory Records.
Это заводной, разбавленый панк роком быдлокор нью-йоркского разлива отправит вас в настоящее гетто, из которого вам уже не выйти.
