Samplephonics presents a truly stunning collection of guitar loops and samples from legendary session guitarist Ray Russell.
The sample pack takes us on a journey through guitar melodies, from dark tension building 7 string bass-lines, trancelike Coldplay inspired chord progressions, driving distorted riffs, ambient reflective melodies, mad feedback and pedal effects and downright funky loops and samples.
Recorded using some of the finest vintage analogue including a Universal Audio 1176 compressor, Atari 1/4’’ tape machine, Moogerfooger Delay and Eventide Harmonizer, the loops and samples have an extremely warm and organic tone that create a real sense of depth and space.
The guitar loops are organised into track folders, each containing different variations and layers for total flexibility. All the loops and samples are presented in 24 Bit wav and available to download in 48khz or 44.1khz.
Rays recording credits read like a who’s who of the music world, having worked with Gill Evans, Tina Turner, Van Morrison, Art Garfunkel, Dionne Warwick, Bryan Ferry, Jack Bruce, Cat Stevens, Phil Collins, Robert Plant, Mark Isham, Georgie Fame, Heaven 17, Frankie Miller are and many more. His music has featured on many Films and TV programs, and he recently won an ASCAP award for the most played music on American television...basically the man knows his music!
