Der Wanderer is an album by a nature-oriented ambient project Mealann from Poland. A long journey through the forest of gloomy and misty atmospheres. Basically some kind of minimalistic ambient music, but each of the tracks sound very inspiring and mystic at the same time. A good piece of ambient with the great concept is the least to say, this record really creates a very special mood and a soundscape of wandering through the woods and misty fields.

Der Einsiedler is second full-length album of ambient act Mealann from Poland, found in August 2011 by Eija Risen from numerous projects like Risen v0id, Cold Womb Descent, Astral Monolith and few electronic ones. After releasing the debut album and two splits with friends, second full length release combines everything that made this project up to that day.
Album contains eight instrumental tracks, whose titles are nouns in German language. Its sound is an excerpt from perception of a lonely ranger inside, but outside of the big city, searching for traces of beauty beneath overwhelming sadness. Slow and repetitive, yet painstaking pieces of melody in the vein of ambient black metal Burzum releases, reminding of bands like Sieghetnar and Spectral Lore combine open and free atmosphere partially bound by traces of grim thoughts and unstable mood.

A brand new and already a fourth LP from Mealann, released on June 28th. "The album have been recorded since January 2012 to the release date. The sound is much more neoclassical and even symphonic than before, but there still is a lot of ambient elements" - author says. Have a pleasant listening!
