The Belle Game is a six-piece collection of melodic-noise, infectious energy and engaging dark-pop. After spending a year amongst the gurgling noise of the Montreal music scene, The Belle Game returned to Vancouver where they spun their influences into a dynamic live show, earning them appearances alongside Gotye, Karkwa, and Said The Whale. Their first EP, Inventing Letters, was welcomed with worldwide blog-buzz as well as placements on Much Music’s The Wedge. Their follow up, Sleep to Grow, was crafted alongside famed Vancouver producer JC/DC (New Pornographers, Tegan and Sara, Destroyer). It boasted grand arrangements, swirling instrumentation, and a sense of ragged whimsy. Produced by John Raham (Be Good Tanya’s Frazey Ford). The album flirts with new territory; a darker mood, intricate musicianship, gut-wrenching vocals and a bold reinterpretation of classic pop music. It is slated for release on October 9, 2012 via Boompa Records.
