Rust Vol.2 version 2.0 содержит более 3100 сэмплов "подготовленных metal/rust" инструментов. Это одна из лучших и самых всесторонних типовых коллекций. При записи Rust Vol. 2 было использовано около 81 различного вида "инструментов" - от гигантских алюминиевых полюсов до металлических ванн, от дверей, использованных как ударные инструменты до массивных вешалок, от металлических ступенек до больших башенных рельс. Библиотека также включает коллекцию, записанную в скульптурном парке. Она содержит не менее 17 различных металлических скульптур, каждая из которых обладает собственными тональными характеристиками. Все инструменты прошли традиционное испытание Soundiron, которое включает использование кулаков, рук, молотков и других инструментов. Кроме того библиотека соответствует стандартам Soundiron в плане скоростного использования слоев и циклического алгоритма.

║ Rust is about what happens when people walk away. Rust is abandonment, ║
║ amnesia and decay. Rust is the inevitable decline of our ║
║ overly-mechanized world. Rust is to iron as the tree is to the seed. ║
║ The stuff of dead stars, it is what becomes of us all and from where we ║
║ have come. In Rust 2, we went a little deeper underground and just a ║
║ little farther out of bounds. So maybe we bent a few little laws while ║
║ bending a little iron, or maybe it's all good clean fun. And maybe we ║
║ took really nice gear to places where nice gear should be taken, to ║
║ places that people don't go anymore. We did what had to be done to get ║
║ in, make a hell of a lot of noise and get out in one piece. ║
║ ║
║ We used all kinds of drumsticks, mallets and hammers, bare hands and ║
║ boots. We bled a little and sweated a lot, just adding a little of our ║
║ own rust to the mix. But in the end, we put everything back where we ║
║ found it. Back where nobody will probably ever bother to look again. ║

║ Version 1 of this library was originally published through Tonehammer ║
║ back in 2009. For the latest version 2.0 we combed through every cornerof ║
║ of this library with the due diligence of a true obsessive compulsive. ║
║ We tweaked key-mapping, refined playability and designed a brand new ║
║ custom user interface with full real-time CC and host automation support, ║
║ with a unique look capturing the militaristic origins of many of our ║
║ source recordings. Now each preset offers you total control over every ║
║ aspect of the sound, allowing you to shape note Attack and sample Offset ║
║ to create gentle, ghostly pad-like sounds from even the harshest impacts. ║
║ The Release control allows you to tighten the sound into a sharp staccato ║
║ click or ping in one moment, or a long ringing sustain the next. Tuningis ║
║ is easy with the Stepping and main Tune parameters. And of course, all of ║
║ our latest exclusive technological advances are also included, like the ║
║ Mega-Mixer, Layer-Builder, Tuned Selector, Uberpeggiator, tempo-syncing ║
