Ребята - секстет из Брайтона, Англия. Им удалось уникальным образом соединить инди-рок с гаражным, добавив к этому новаторский микс из саундтреков к фильмам 70-х в жанре Blaxploitation и индийскому кино, невнятных припевов, олдскульного хип-хопа и искаженного гитарного саунда в стиле Sonic Youth. Их песни - это смесь живой инструментовки и семплов из различных источников. Вокальные партии группы отличаются от концерта к концерту: в то время, как в живую поет в основном Ninja (к тому же иногда Ти Фуками Тэйлор и Каори Цутида не прочь спеть), в записях вокальные партии исполняют семплированные и приглашенные голоса, а не только Ninja.

Иэн Партон задумал проект после того, как захотел создавать музыку, объединяющую его любимые вещи вроде гитарного саунда Sonic Youth, невнятных припевов, болливудских саундтреков, олдскульного хип-хапа и электро. Он стал экспериментировать со всем этим и в конце концов записал Thunder, Lightning, Strike на кухне своих родителей.

Thunder, Lightning, Strike
Первый полноценный альбом The Go! Team Thunder, Lightning, Strike был выпущен в Соединенном Королевстве и Европе в сентябре 2004 на лейбле Memphis Industries, и сразу же был повсеместно признан критиками.
Записанный в родительском доме Иэна Партона, он был спродюсирован и смикширован братом Иэна Гаретом Партоном на The Fortress Studios, что в Лондоне.
В июне 2004 года Партон собрал группу с целью сыграть на Accelerator Festival в Швеции после того, как его пригласили, а группы-то не было.
