One of the most celebrated rock guitarists of the 20th century, Eric Clapton is noted in Rolling Stone's "100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time" list and is a three-time Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Inductee. Clapton was part of numerous seminal rock groups of the 1960s and 70s, including The Yardbirds, Cream, The Blues Breakers, Blind Faith and Derek and the Dominoes.

He went on to a hugely successful solo career. In 1993, his single "Tears In Heaven" won three Grammy awards for Song of the Year, Record of the Year, and Male Pop Vocal Performance.
