In the grim setting of the 41st millennium, elite Seraphim/Celestian Sister Miriya of the Order of Our Martyred Lady is tasked with guarding and transferring a dangerous rogue psyker and heretic named Torris Vaun.

Miriya and Verity uncover a sweeping, terrifying conspiracy involving the internal politics of the Ecclesiarchy (the state church of the Imperium) and corruption tied to Vaun’s escape.

As the plot unravels to threaten the stability of the Imperium, both sisters must rely on their training, tactical wit, and—above all—test whether the strength of their faith in the God-Emperor is enough to survive and conquer the brewing darkness.
