Recorded by my dear friend THE LORD from close to the stagedge, mostly has usual with the recorder in his camerabag at hipheight. These recordings are not always very fine,
but they cover all the bands which the other team or dear friend Rackhir didn't tape. I've tried my best in cleaning up the sound, sometimes to a better result, sometimes not.
But there are always great pictures included.

Some Statistics...

Size: 2500 audience - sold out last September
Admission fee: Early bird tickets 75 Euros bought at Vortex Surfer Club
Catering: various food booths with meaty to vegan
Booze: Beerbooths, cocktail and wine bars. Water in tetrapacs (?) up to 1 ltr. allowed on festivalsite.
Security: Mellow as always there
Weather: hot and humid on wednesday and thursday. Also "wet" on friday but from above. Saturday was a mix of both.

Spaceys notes...

As I didn't go to this years Freak Valley Festival I can only comment a bit about the music of those 30+ bands that played this XXL version. The wednesday was added to the schedule
with a special stage on a sportspark (?) close to the festival campground. I don't think that is really neccessary, but as the thursday was a partial holiday at least in NRW and
some other parts of Germany (we call it in slang "Happy cadaver") there might've been a demand for it. When they started back in 2012 (with app. 800 visitors) it was only friday
and saturday. Then the thursday was added a year later...and now wednesday. It could be interesting to know if it is worth "blowing up" each festival for - to me - unknown reasons.
I would prefer less bands, more "quality" of music and longer slots for each band. But maybe I'm just "old school".

Doom Metal played by a young but experienced band from Sweden. Not really my cigar, but the sound is good and I think some HM afficinados will love this one. SB.
