For the past decade, Santa Barbara's Rebelution have dominated American reggae radio and thrilled enormous festival audiences around the world. On the 12-track Free Rein, Rebelution's ninth full-length (depending on how you count), the band collaborated with Jamaican artists on three tracks: Don Corleon produced "Rise on Top," Winta James and Chronixx, respectively, worked with the band on "Settle Down Easy" and "City Life." The album points a wide-angle lens on Rebelution's ever-evolving sound as they expand the pop and R&B elements in their stylistic palette as evidenced by "More Energy" and the single "Celebrate."
