RockPop appeared on the ZDF channel of German television from 1978 to 1981 and was one of the few purely musical programs. Christian Simon represented artists, briefly talked about them, often talked with musicians after their performance. And that's all. No sketches, games with spectators and quizzes - just music! I generally wonder how such a "boring", by Western standards, series could last for as long as 4 years! By the way, the "television chance" was provided not only to eminent guests, who had a lot for the history of the program, but also to quite unknown, young artists, some had the only opportunity to appear on TV at that time.
