UnHackMe is a program that tries to identify and protect your computer against unwanted access through a specific type of malware, namely 'rootkits.'

The programs' interface is user-friendly and tab-based, so easy access to options and features is not an issue. In order to scan your computer for Trojans, you just have to push the 'Check Me Now!' button. A new window pops-up, allowing you to perform a malware scan or to clean, protect and backup files on your computer.

If you select to scan the computer for malware, UnHackMe offers you four options to choose from: you can send a report, scan Windows startup items, perform an online multi-antivirus scan or reveal hidden / infected files. After scanning startup items you can decide what to do with each of the identified problems: delete the file, rate it as 'false positive' or require additional assistance.

UnHackMe also includes the 'Reanimator' feature, which you can use to perform a full spyware check. In addition to this, you can backup system files, in order to recover them quickly in case of a virus attack. UnHackMe enables you to optionally activate real-time protection, schedule scans, as well as create an exclusion list. Moreover, each time Windows reboots, the application can check for existing rootkits.
