Tchéky Karyo reprises his role from `The Missing' as never-quite-retired detective Julien Baptiste. Julien is in Amsterdam, staying with his wife, daughter and son-in-law after the birth of his daughter's first child. Feeling restless and in the way, Julien gets out of the house and meets with an old flame who also happens to be Amsterdam's chief of police, and who has a job for him: to help track down missing woman Natalie. Julien meets with Natalie's uncle, Englishman Edward Stratton, and they begin a search that quickly uncovers more questions than answers.
