Mandy, one of 24 dispatchers on duty today, sends crewmates Kayleigh and Lauren to help a young man in cardiac arrest. The case causes Mandy to reflect on what it is like to lose a son - something she has experienced herself. By 10am, just three hours into the morning shift, control are dealing with the third assault of the day and have already responded to four stabbings. With the temperature gauge rising, control are taking over 300 emergency calls an hour.
